Evans Tran, PA at Pacific Coast Urology Medical Center, leaves Los Angeles, CA today for her 2nd trip to volunteer with the Philippine Medical Society of Northern California* missionary group. This diverse group of medical personnel will provide needed medical and surgical services to residents of Dumaguete City in the Philippines. The medical mission will take place from January 16 – 20th. (Track Evans Tran, PA journey on Pacific Coast Urology Medical Center’s Facebook page)
Ms. Tran and other members of the medical team will offer a wide variety of services including pediatric exams, gynecologic/obstetric check-ups, adult complete physicals, and prescription dispensing and eye exams with eyewear dispensing. The group will work side-by-side with missionary physicians to provide a wide range of much needed surgical services to hundreds of patients including cancer removal, cataract and glaucoma surgery, hernia repairs, hysterectomies and many other types of operations. Last year, as part of the Northern California Medical Missionary, Evans helped to treat almost 7,000 individuals in Laoag City, Philippines!
Evans is thrilled to, once again, work closely with health professionals in different departments, including outpatient care, public health projects, surgery, women’s health and more to help patients with their healthcare needs. “I can’t thank Dr. Pugach enough for sponsoring my trip,” says Ms. Tran. “With his generous financial support, and donation of time and materials, I can use my medical expertise, especially in the area of women’s bladder control problems, to correct this common condition that affects twice as many women as men. I’m proud to represent Pacific Coast Urology Medical Center in this remarkable humanitarian project.”
