We are truly honored to tell our patients and referring physicians
that, for the 6th year in a row, we have been named as
one of America’s Top Physicians. This is a remarkable achievement
for all of us at Pacific Coast Urology Medical Center because
we consider this to be recognition for those who work in the
country’s leading minimally invasive urology practice.
Recipients of this prestigious award are recognized for excellence
in a number of areas including customer service, board certification
and training.
We strive every day to bring you the finest in urological care
possible and we are happy to be honored once again for succeeding in
our mission.
Urology today is far different than in years past. More and more
treatments are delivered in the comfort and convenience of our
offices, resulting in an easier time for our patients and greatly
reduced costs for our healthcare system. We continue to be at the
forefront of new technology and treatment options to give you the
best results with the least amount of discomfort and inconvenience.
As an example of our recognition as a leading urology practice in
the United States, we are pleased to announce our selection as one
of only a few sites to evaluate a brand new, innovative therapy for
the treatment of BPH (benign prostate growth). We will begin
accepting patients for this important clinical trial later this year
with the hope that we can participate in the development of a new,
non-surgical therapy for this never ending problem for men.
We’ll continue to help pioneer minimally invasive therapies for all
urological conditions for you. Most importantly, while we remain at
the forefront of new advances, we will continue to provide the

Congratulations to Dr.
Robert Pugach, founder and Medical Director of
Pacific Coast Urology Medical
Center in Orange County for being selected as one of
America’s Top Physicians
for 2009. Since 2004, Dr.
Pugach has been honored with this prestigious award. Each year
doctors are selected as Consumers' Research Council of America Top
Physicians based on their continuing dedication and outstanding work
they have accomplished throughout their career. Consumers’ Research
Council of America compiles a list of Physicians throughout the
United States by utilizing a point value system in determining top
health care professionals. The point system includes professional
qualifications: education, residency, board certification,
fellowships; professional reputation, memberships in professional
associations and experience.

Dr. Robert Pugach has been
serving patients for the past 25 years and he is an expert in
minimally invasive urologic procedures. He attended
New Jersey College of Medicine and Dentistry, M.D. and Albert
Einstein College of Medicine where he completed his urology
residency. He also completed his general surgery residency at New
York University-Booth Memorial Medical Center. Dr. Pugach continues
his extensive education and training with
urologists and
urological companies throughout the world. He has expertise in a
comprehensive array of medical and surgical treatments of urological
problems, including minimally invasive treatments for
Benign Prostatic
Hyperplasia (BPH),
male
incontinence and
female incontinence and
prostate cancer.
Dr. Pugach has helped
hundreds of men and women from across the United States and even
Japan improve the quality of their life with his advanced treatment
of BPH,
female incontinence
and prostate cancer.
He provides community lecture and is actively involved in educating
the community on prevention, diagnosis and treatment of urologic
conditions.
In May 2009, Dr. Pugach was certified to train
other urologist in HIFU. Dr. Pugach is one of only four US
physicians certified to train physicians in this revolutionary
technology to treat prostate cancer. He began his HIFU training in April 2006.
This revolutionary new procedure,
High
Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU), is a non-invasive technology
which allows precision
heating of the prostate to cure prostate cancer without the complications of
erectile dysfunction
or urinary
incontinence.
