Pacific Coast Urology Medical
Center continues to lead in the areas of
minimally invasive treatments for a wide range of urological
conditions such as:
Pacific Coast Urology Medical Center
continues to be one of the leading urological practices in the United States.
We specialize in procedures that minimize discomfort and allow you to achieve the
same benefits as with more invasive procedures. We are being
recognized as a leader more and more and, in fact, Dr. Pugach
recently had the honor of making a presentation in Orlando where the
annual meeting of the American Urological Association was held.
PRESS RELEASE - UROLOGIX - MAY 16, 2008
Dr. Robert Pugach is quoted in a
recent Urologix news release on the launch of their new CTC advance
catheter at the 2008 American Urological Association Annual Meeting.

"The CTC Advance catheter is another improvement in cooled microwave
thermotherapy. It is easier to insert and the additional cooling
helps further preserve healthy urethral tissue. It demonstrates
Urologix' commitment to quality patient care and is another reason
why I use their microwave technology exclusively," said Dr. Robert
Pugach, Medical Director at Pacific Coast Urology.
OPUS - Remarkable New Urodynamics
System
To help diagnose bladder control problems in both women and men
“OPUS”
isn’t a person or an animal. Opus is the most advanced urodynamic
system in the world today and we are proud to make Opus
available to our patients.. Opus allows us to perform urodynamics -
the science of precise diagnosis of
bladder control
problems to help find the best solution for you.
Opus has exceeded our expectations – the system is accurate, precise
and helps Dr. Pugach determine the cause of bladder control problems
with greater skill than ever. Working along with Opus is our
biofeedback program
which we can now use with more precision. Biofeedback is a
series of computer based pelvic muscle exercises that can reduce or
completely eliminate certain types of incontinence (leakage) or
overactive bladder problems.
In response to increasing requests for our bladder control services
we have added many new evaluation and treatment times to our
weekly schedule for your
convenience. Gladys Rentie, who has
been working at Pacific
Coast Urology for almost 10 years uses her special training
to assist Dr. Pugach in
performing both the urodynamic testing and biofeedback treatments.
No Scalpel/No Needle
Vasectomy
Interest in our minimally invasive No Scalpel/No Needle vasectomy
procedure continues to grow dramatically. So, in order to serve the
needs of many patients in the Los Angeles and Valley areas we are
proud to announce the opening of our new satellite office in Beverly
Hills.
The No Needle part of the procedure is a recent addition. Now,
instead using sharp needles to penetrate a patient’s skin to
inject novocaine, Dr. Pugach uses a special jet injector that
sprays novocaine at the skin surface, allowing it to penetrate
completely without using a needle! Patients feel almost nothing
and effect is immediate.
Dr. Pugach can attest to the minimal pain and quick return to
activities from the procedure because he recently had a No
Scalpel/No Needle vasectomy. He was back to a full schedule of
activities within 2 days and felt almost no discomfort, either
during or after the procedure. It really works!
The No Scalpel/No Needle vasectomy is just one of the many minimally
invasive services offered at Pacific Coast Urology Medical Center.
