What our Patients
our Saying
To: Dr. Robert
Pugach and his wonderful caring staff
I was skeptical
at first that I would have to have an operation called a “Turp
Procedure.” I woke up one morning and couldn’t urinate. “My God,” I
thought it was my kidney’s that failed. I was referred to Dr. Pugach
and upon examination, he told me and also my wife, that a “Turp
Procedure” would help an possibly get me to urinate again. I wore a
catheter tube for a month before my surgery as my stomach was so fat
and full of fluid, which really was wonderful to be able to get rid
of all of the urine that had built up.
I went to the
hospital on the 28th of March, 2008. I had surgery by Dr.
Pugach. Prior and post-op I was wearing catheter urine leg bags and
a foley catheter at night. The first real positive thing I noted was
in the recovery room I virtually had no pain. I thought there was
going to be “big time” pain and was dreading it.
I went home the
next day and I started to urinate a little, still not a lot of
pain. On Father’s Day I had such a great gift, I could “pee” like a
race horse, like I was 15 years old again. No more tube and I am
free. I will be able to work somewhat and I can go fishing like I
liked to do when I was younger. I am so thankful to Dr. Pugach and
his staff for giving me a new lease on life. God Bless Dr. Pugach,
not only is he one of the best Doctor’s in the United States, but he
is one of the best urologist in the world. The procedure
responsible for this is the “Turp Procedure”, or Trans Urethral
Resection of the Prostate.
I just want to
share this wonderful and successful surgery with everyone and not to
give up hope, Dr. Pugach is “the man!”
Sincerely,
Gordon
Testimonial of actual patient, record on file, dated: 6/08
May 12, 2008
I am more that happy to write a testimonial to tell anyone who
is considering being treated by Dr. Pugach that they could not
make a wiser choice. I must admit that making an appointment
with a urologist because you’re having problems with your
urination habits is not something you look forward to especially
when you are healthy and active man under forty. Moreover,
saying that I anticipated an uncomfortable process is an
understatement. However, Dr. Pugach and his staff have such a
pleasant and profession manner about them that I was anything
but uncomfortable. I have known my fair share of doctors but I
have never met a more affable and concerned doctor. He has by
far the best listening skills that are combined with a sense of
empathy that most doctors are completely void of. And I am not
just saying that because he is thoughtful enough to put a TV on
the ceiling for the patients to watch while they are having a
procedure done. After my first examination I left his office
confident that what ever problem I did have he would be able
help.
And yes he did help but in more ways than one. My initial
problem was diagnosed accurately and treated with prescription.
I was very pleased that and all my symptoms were relieved,
however, that was not all Dr. Pugach did for me, all be it
enough. It was during one of my follow up appointments when I
mentioned to Dr. Pugach that my wife and I were trying to have a
baby. Just to be safe he sent me for some tests and adjusted my
medication to a drug that would still treat my symptoms but help
better facilitate the reproductive process. I am happy to say
that soon there after I joyfully called Dr. Pugach’s office to
report that we had conceived out first child. And you know what?
A couple weeks later they sent us a congratulations card.
There are many doctors who are competent and will be able to
treat you effectively. Although I believe that Dr. Pugach and
his staff go way beyond that and in a way that does not feel
contrived in any way. I believe they are all just very nice,
caring and thoughtful people who are considerate of your time
and care. I would not have ever thought that going to the
urologist was my favorite doctor’s office to visit but IT IS.
Sincerely,
Josh
